Mouse on Mars. Spatial Jitter
09.04.–18.09.2022
Mouse on Mars is one of the most idiosyncratic and remarkable electronic music projects in Germany. With their anarchic sound mixture oscillating between uncontrolled chaos and precisely arranged structures, Andi Toma and Jan St. Werner have created an unmistakable musical language that cannot be pinned down to a definitive form. For the Kunstbau, the duo has developed a composition that transforms the exhibition hall itself into a gigantic stereophonic instrument. Curated by Eva Huttenlauch.
Rosemary Mayer. Ways of Attaching
11.06.–18.09.2022
For Rosemary Mayer, sculpture was a field of almost unlimited possibilities. This exhibition offers the first overview of her work and focuses on the sculptural methods of draping, knotting, stretching, and balancing, which run metaphorically through her drawing, writing, and performances. Also on view are photographs of her actions in public space. Based in New York in the ’70s and ’80s, Mayer was not only a sculptor but also a performer, author, translator, and feminist. Curated by Stephanie Weber.
