Steven Aalders: Elements

Walter Storms Galerie is pleased to present Elements, a comprehensive exhibition of work by Steven Aalders from the Slewe Gallery, Amsterdam.

In his abstract geometric work, Aalders focuses on two fundamental elements of painting: proportion and color. The focus of this exhibition is his Elements (Sea, Land, Sun, Light, Soul), which consists of five monochrome panels. With an analytical method of applying multiple layers of oil paint in a lengthy process, Aalders strives for beauty and harmony in a world suffering from pollution and violence.

Steven Aalders studied at the Rietveld Academy, Amsterdam, and at the Croydon College of Art, London. His works are exhibited internationally by the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam; the Voorlinden Museum, Wassenaar, The Netherlands; Museum Kurhaus Kleve, Germany; and the Kröller-Müller Museum, Otterlo, The Netherlands.
